I think Sony does a good job with marketing Insomniac games actually. Some people have short memories but Ratchet and Clank future had ads running alongside the original Uncharted's ad. In fact I think R&C Future ads were run more prominently, Resistance 2 had a good showing as well. Just last year it had one of the best showings at E3 along with LittleBigPlanet. I actually really dislike silent protagonist. I know they are supposed to be a inflection of you yourself but I don't ever get that connection with the character. I just always find it bothersome that the character I'am playing as has no voice for himself, no opinions etc of what he is doing. It feels like a big lack of character depth. Isn't a beta nothing but a test to see how things are before you ship with the real product? And if you think like that Madden along with countless other games with sequels are in a perpetual state of beta tests with the final game in a series being the "final product".

It's not that big of a deal. 40 bucks for an updated SF4 with balance changes, new fighters etc is enough for me. After 10 years since the last SF I'm glad they'll be revising and supporting SF4. I would like it to be DLC for 20 bucks just like the next guy. But I plan on getting SSF3 after spending a good amount of time on 4.

Heavy Rain will probably only sell a million copies. But be a critical darling. As much as me and the rest of you are looking forward to this game, this game has limited appeal in today's game shelves. If doesn't have regenerating health, guns or is a sequel odds are it's not going to sell like it should.
I have thought for the longest this game would be vaporware. Maybe I'll be proven wrong. I don't care about the visual prowess, I want to know how it plays and the story.

One bit. EA makes a lot of money and the reason they make money is not just because of long running successful IP's but also because they ship all their games across NUMEROUS platforms. I don't think it would advantageous for EA, not to mention how much it would cost MS to acquire them. Just doesn't seem like anything near a probable deal.

Besides Pandora's Box replica and the art book I kind of don't like this "Ultimate edition". I'm used to having the documentaries, interviews and challenge room included with the regular edition of GoW games. GoW2 was a 2 disk set for $50 for crying out loud that had great behind the scenes look at stuff.
If this was $80 then yeah I'd bite the bullet and get it as a huge GoW fan. But for a C note I'd expect a replica Medusa head or replica blades of Athena.
